This privacy policy governs your use of the mobile software application Camera Ring Sizer ("Application") created by Vocom Studio ("we", "us", or "our").

Camera Ring Sizer is designed as a high-precision utility app to calculate ring sizes. To comply with the Google Play Store Developer Policies and Apple App Store Review Guidelines, this document explains what data we collect, how it is processed, and our security measures.

1. Camera Permission and Local Image Processing

The Application requires active access to your device's camera. This permission is necessary to stream video frames used for real-time visual contour tracking and automated reference coin classification. All raw video frames and camera feeds are processed strictly in real-time, local device memory. We do not capture, record, store, or transmit raw camera video feeds, user faces, or surrounding environment data to any external server.

2. Data Collection & Cloud Sync

To improve sizing algorithms, calibrate device display profiles, and debug classification models, the Application uploads limited, anonymized technical telemetry to Firebase (Google Cloud platform). This telemetry includes:

  • Display Specifications: Device model, operating system, system DPI metrics, and resolution scaling factors. We store these parameters in our database to resolve scaling disparities for other users of the same device model.
  • Model Feedback Images: Cropped, low-resolution snapshots containing only the reference coin (extracted during visual contour processing). These cropped images are saved in secure Firebase Cloud Storage to retrain and improve our classification model. No faces, background environments, or personally identifying details are contained in these cropped snapshots.
  • Telemetry and Sizing Metrics: Anonymized logs containing camera metadata (such as lens focal length and capture resolution), calibration adjustments made by the user, and standard sizing conversions (millimeter diameter bounds).

Personally Identifiable Information (PII): Camera Ring Sizer does not collect or transmit user names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, device identifiers (like IMEI or MAC address), or location coordinates (GPS).

3. Third-Party Services & Integrations

The Application integrates services provided by Google Inc. and Apple Inc. to support secure telemetry sync and app integrity verification:

  • Firebase Services (Auth, Firestore, Cloud Storage): Used to securely transmit and log anonymized display calibration metrics and cropped coin reference images.
  • Firebase App Check (Play Integrity & DeviceCheck): Validates that the Application running on your device is authentic and unmodified to protect our backend APIs from unauthorized requests.
  • Google Play Services: Core system services on Android.

4. App Store & Google Play Sizing Disclaimers

Camera Ring Sizer utilizes advanced display calibration (compensating for logical-to-physical resolution scaling). However, environmental factors such as camera tilt, reflections, incorrect coin placement, or non-standard screen protectors can introduce measurement discrepancies. Sizing results provided by the Application are reference estimates. Users are urged to confirm sizes prior to purchasing high-value jewelry or custom-made rings. Vocom Studio is not liable for financial loss, incorrect custom orders, or shipping expenses stemming from sizing estimations.

5. Security Safeguards

We implement strict technical safeguards to secure anonymized data, utilizing encrypted Firebase SSL protocols for transit and authentication access tokens restricted by Firebase App Check. Since the Application collects no PII, there is no threat of identity leakage.

6. User Rights and Data Deletion

You can clear all local logs and calibration parameters at any time by clearing the Application's cache or uninstalling the app. If you wish to request the removal of anonymized display specifications or telemetry linked to your device model, you may contact us at vocom.studio@gmail.com.

7. Children's Privacy

The Application does not address children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal data, we will immediately delete this from our servers.

8. Consent and Policy Updates

By installing and using the Application, you consent to the processing of anonymized telemetry as outlined in this Privacy Policy. We may update this policy periodically to comply with store changes or regulations. Any updates will be posted here with an updated effective date.
